This area is a natural museum that displays and preserves the volcanic activity of Mt. Usu, which has erupted nine times in its history. Take a close look at still fuming craters and buildings that collapsed as a result of crustal movements.

Closed on Mondays from November to April

Adults: 250 yen; children: 100 yen / Groups (20 people or more): Adults: 200 yen; children: 80

 

Mimatsu Masao Memorial Hall

Hours: 8:00 ? 17:00 (9:00 ? 16:00 from November to March)

Open throughout the year (closed on some days between November and March)

Adults: 300 yen; elementary and junior high school students: 250 yen
